It has great voice acting because this time around the FUNi voice actors had several years of acting experience. Including replacing the original music, adding dialogue were there was none, having very inaccurate dialogue, etc. The FUNimation DBZ dub made several changes. It is much more faithful compared to the FUNi Z dub.
My personal recommendation would be to watch Kai for the following reasons: Like the music, filler, quality of the voice acting, preference of voice actors, pacing, aspect ratio, etc. Of course there's other things to consider.
